Photobucket

While Krista van der Niet's photographs might not necessarily play with in the realm of fashion photography, I find this image completely arresting as it seems to highlight current dialogues in fashion and body.  I love the overt portrayal  of the anonymous and benign accessorized body.

Could the only thing that defines her be the shoes?  Seems that we see quite a bit of that in fashion, with the current campaigns featuring mostly nude models gazing at the camera, half open eyes and lips (coma face).

The photograph also seems to touch on the 'posed' body, it playfully mutes what could be slightly altered highly sexual pose.

Dolce & Gabbana campaign

While also referencing the highly stylized Juergon Teller's photographs for Marc Jacobs adds that often have the blunt 'unfashionable' poses.
