Preen quietly stunning

The cuts and balance of this collection are dead on.  This is how pattern blocking should be done.

Calvin Klein NYFW

Classic cuts good lines...

And then I saw this...

doesn't it remind you of an earlier post of Narciso's?
seems like this is a 'thing' now.

J.Crew introduces cringeworthy 'painter's pants'

It's bad enough that on any given Friday night opening you will see many an 'artist' shuffling around the galleries clad in their paint smattered jeans, making sure that everyone is fully aware of their 'I'm an artist, and want you to know that I've just come from my studio' pants.  I'm onto you.
This however, is worse.

Perhaps their can be a'meta moment'  when artist and collector are wearing matching outfits.

Narciso Rodriguez Kills it! NYFW

Narciso did what he does best, and that is himself.  This collection was pretty much an ode to oneself in the best possible way.  Seems when some designers have been around long enough (Yves) go on to referencing their own past work instead of glomming onto current trends.  For example you will see no reference to the ubiquitous peplums that have been the dirge of the runways this season.  Instead Narciso continues to update the loose shift and highlight his construction, while introducing more prints then his past collections.
