Banks Violette
Goth style and culture has always felt a bit campy, I cringe a bit when I'm reminded of my early attraction to it. Goth has gotten a bit of a makeover in the last decade though. Starting with the the Japanese takeover of goth in the late 90's early 2000's with the Lolita goth look which began to elevate the style into a more contemporary interpretation. While these looks may seem somewhat campy in themselves, comparatively to goth mall culture prevalent in suburban malls these are quite elevated.
