Bad Bags

These bags are by The Row (the Olsen's) in collaboration with Damien Hirst.  While I'm all for artist collaborations, this is a bunch of derivative schlock.  It seems as if there wasn't any collaboration after all since these bags look like a miserable mash up of Damien's past projects and a fairly generic backpack.  While the materials are clearly high quality (alligator skin) it just goes to show, money can't buy taste.

This is Haizhen's S/S 13 collection, which I love that it's mostly black for those of us that like black all year long.  He was a graduate of St Martins and also a Fringe finalist in 2011.  Great layering pieces, the textures are spot on, and really great necklines for his pieces.

While I agree with Raf's comment, he hasn't exactly 'wowed' me with his reinterpretation of Dior.  Feels a bit formulaic.
